Howard County police are actively investigating a double shooting that took place in Columbia, Maryland. The incident occurred the evening before, specifically in the areas surrounding the local grocery store, Lidl, which is located in the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway. Initial reports of shots fired were received around 5:52 p.m., and authorities were swiftly on the scene.
Upon arrival, police discovered two juvenile males with gunshot wounds, one of whom was pronounced dead right at the scene. The other was quickly transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and is reported to be in critical condition.
