
Integrated Biometrics (IB) is expanding its research facility in Chandler, Arizona. According to the City of Chandler, the company, known for its fingerprint scanners and biometric integration software, is increasing its Chandler workforce by at least 50 percent. The expansion also includes a 25 percent increase in the facility’s size, which now includes a new experience center to display its products and partner technologies.
Chandler residents will have access to new job opportunities, especially for those with engineering experience in biometric technology. Reid Baker, Research and Development Manager for Integrated Biometrics, highlighted the city's supportive role in the expansion, shared, "We are excited to continue our presence in Chandler and provide more space for our talented employees to continue pushing the company forward," in a statement obtained by the City of Chandler.
Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke emphasized the importance of the expansion, noting the positive impact the company’s growth will have on the local job market. "Chandler is fortunate to have companies of all sizes working on the leading edge of technology," Hartke told the City of Chandler. "Integrated Biometrics is a wonderful example of a small, innovative company adding great job opportunities for our Chandler residents. We wish them many more years of success."
Integrated Biometrics, based in South Carolina, operates with manufacturing facilities in both Asia and the United States. The company is known for its patented Light Emitting Sensor (LES) technology, which has been certified by the FBI. Chandler is recognized for its focus on innovation and has been named one of the Best Places to Find a Job and Best Cities for Women in Tech. Integrated Biometrics' expansion in the city supports its role in the high-tech sector while contributing to the local economy through job creation and advancements in biometric technology.
