Three juveniles find themselves in custody following a late-night car chase in downtown Atlanta that culminated in a crash and a scramble through the streets. Last Saturday, Georgia State Patrol identified a stolen Dodge Charger at about 10:14 p.m. The Charger, involved in a DeKalb County robbery earlier that day, led troopers on a pursuit, as detailed by FOX5 Atlanta. The chase ended near the intersection of Marietta and Hampton Streets when the driver crashed the vehicle.
The aftermath of the crash saw the driver and a passenger fleeing on foot into a nearby parking garage. A K-9 unit swiftly cornered one suspect, while a second, upon scaling a wall in an evasive measure, faced the electric punctuation of a trooper's taser. "A third suspect was apprehended at the scene," as per WSBTV. In the confines of the Charger, law enforcement discovered three handguns, one bearing an illegally modified switch and reported as stolen.
Authorities have not released the names or ages of the suspects, adhering to protocols often employed with juveniles—that is, individuals under 18.
