In a significant step for expanding behavioral healthcare in the region, King County Executive Dow Constantine revealed that Connections Health Solutions will be at the helm of King County's first crisis care center. This endeavor comes on the back of the Crisis Care Centers Initiative passed by voters in 2023, which promised a remarkable shift in managing mental health, drug, or alcohol crises, as reporte by King County.

King County's initiative to enhance local support for those grappling with behavioral health issues has found its first partner in Connections Health Solutions. Connections Kirkland, operational since last year and catering to North King County, will now integrate into a burgeoning countywide network of such facilities.

"This award makes Connections Kirkland the first official crisis care center for King County,” Executive Constantine expressed with a tone that underscored the importance of the moment, according to King County. With, one might say a palpable enthusiasm lingering in the air, he added, “We celebrated the opening of this facility in August, and today we celebrate the boost it will receive as a part of the Crisis Care Centers Initiative — making sure people can access the behavioral health care they need, when and where they need it.”
