Motorists who frequent David Drive in the area of West Metairie Avenue will need to prepare for some disruptions starting next week. In an announcement by the Jefferson Parish government, it has been detailed that one southbound lane of David Drive will be closed from the morning of Monday, Feb. 17 until the afternoon of Monday, Feb. 24. The closure, which is set to start at 7 a.m. and finish up at 3:30 p.m., is due to necessary roadway repairs.
The Jefferson Parish government announced that the work will focus on the southbound part of the road, likely fixing damage, filling potholes, and doing other repairs. This is important to keep the road safe and in good condition for the many cars that use it every day.
The repairs are expected to be completed by Monday, Feb. 24, depending on weather conditions. For more details, contact Rudolph Augustine from the Water Department at (504)-535-002.
