Parents and guardians in Lewisville have a golden chance to ensure their children's car seats are as safe as possible, thanks to the local police department's monthly clinic. The Department offers services to help install new car seats and ensure kids are securely fitted into the right ones for their size. The free Child Safety Seat Clinics are open to all, irrespective of residency, on the last Monday of every month.
On February 24, the regular venue of these safety inspections will shift to Lewisville Fire Station 3, 500 W. Round Grove Rd. This move is due to construction work at the usual site, the Tittle McFadden Public Safety Building. Those looking to take advantage of this service must make an appointment by calling 972.219.3668.
According to a social media post from the Lewisville Police Department, their certified technicians will review and install the car seats and answer any questions parents may have about car seat safety. The aim is to keep the community's youngest members secure each time they take the road.
