
A man was arrested on charges of second-degree burglary and other offenses after deputies responded to a situation in Superior's vacant home. The incident unfolded in the 200 block of Mohawk Circle when the homeowner visited his unoccupied property to discover unexpected sounds from within. Deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office were alerted at 11:58 a.m. and arrived promptly on the scene, where they determined that the suspect had illegally entered through a basement window.
According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect identified as Joshew Brown, born July 22, 1991, had seemingly made the vacant domicile his temporary residence for several days. The responding officers set up to quickly establish a secure perimeter before attempting to engage the intruder. Brown briefly resisted contact, barricading himself inside before he was taken into custody without any further conflict, ensuring no one was injured in the process.
The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Brown was transported to the Boulder County Jail. The ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the break-in is documented under case number 25-00709.
