A violent incident in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood of Chicago's South Side has left a man fighting for his life after a robbery turned brutally violent. According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times, a 35-year-old man was discovered with a severe stab wound to the throat late Monday evening in the 7800 block of South Wood Street. The Chicago Police found the injured man around 11:20 p.m., who was then rushed to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in a critical condition.
The man relayed to officers that his attackers were three robbers who fled with his personal belongings. While the victim received treatment for the life-threatening injury inflicted by his assailants, no arrest had been made in connection to the crime at the time.
