Early yesterday morning, a man was shot in Cordova on the 9200 block of Afton Grove Road, according to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO). Deputies responded around 4:30 a.m., according to an Action News 5 report.
The man was injured but not critically, and was taken to Regional One Health for treatment, as reported by Local Memphis. The SCSO is working to determine the circumstances leading to the shooting and is gathering evidence and testimonies to identify those responsible.
The SCSO has not released any information about potential suspects or motives. The investigation is ongoing and they are urging anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH, according to FOX13 Memphis.
