Early morning yesterday, a man was shot in Atlanta’s historic Auburn Avenue neighborhood. The Atlanta Police Department reports that officers were dispatched to 210 Auburn Avenue NE around 1:29 AM after receiving reports of a person shot.
The responding officers found a 31-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and chest. Despite his injuries, the victim was alert, conscious, and breathing when they arrived. He was quickly transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
The Major Crime Response Team is handling the investigation to understand what occurred.
