In the early hours of Monday morning, the Maury County Fire Department was dispatched following a distress call regarding a motor vehicle accident. A vehicle had collided with a bridge on Culleoka Highway and overturned into a nearby creek, rendering its lone occupant trapped inside. The incident was reported at 01:33 am, and emergency services were promptly alerted to the scene, according to the Maury County Fire Department.
Upon arrival, Rescue 21, alongside Deputy 20 and Chief 20, found the vehicle partially submerged and the driver in urgent need of assistance. As per the Maury County Fire Department, the first responders swiftly utilized hydraulic tools to remove a door, enabling access to the individual. The trapped occupant was then carefully extricated using a stokes basket.
