The Mesa Public Library is hosting its seventh annual Valentine's card drive to support seniors. The community is invited to create and donate cards, which will be distributed to homebound residents and those in assisted living. The library is providing supplies and a platform for the initiative, according to the City of Mesa.
The card-making sessions will take place at Red Mountain Library on February 4, Dobson Ranch Library on February 5, and Main Library on February 6, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Community members are invited to participate in creating cards for seniors. "One small kind gesture can brighten someone's day. Mesa Library Valentine's Day card drive is one way to tell our seniors that we care about them," said Library Director Polly Bonnett, as reported by the City of Mesa.
Mesa Public Library is collecting Valentine’s cards for seniors in local care facilities from February 3 to February 8. Residents can make their own or drop off pre-made cards at the Main, Dobson, and Red Mountain branches. Last year, over 2,275 cards were donated, as stated by the City of Mesa.
