The Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show has officially opened in South Florida, with over 100,000 attendees expected this year. According to Trade Only Today, more than 1,000 boats and marine products are on display, contributing an estimated $1 billion economic impact for the region.
CBS News reports the event's total economic impact is expected to be $9.95 million.
Owned by the National Marine Manufacturers Association and the International Yacht Brokers Association, the Miami International Boat Show is a key indicator of boat-buying trends across market sectors. The event is expected to generate significant economic activity, with both business and leisure activities taking place on the docks and show floors. Andrew Doole, President of U.S. Boat Shows with Informa Markets, told CBS News, "The show provides exhibitors with an opportunity to showcase the best of the industry to a growing international market. Our show is a key event for manufacturers, dealers, and consumers looking to make a purchase that sets the tone for the industry's year ahead."
The event spans six locations, featuring boats ranging from kayaks to superyachts, as well as the latest marine accessories. One highlight is BOLD, a 279-foot SilverYacht superyacht, which has been dubbed the "Queen of the 2025 Show," and is anchored at IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami. Herald Plaza will also host the debuts of the Aquila 42 and 46 Coupe Power Catamarans, designed for both adventure and relaxation, according to CBS News.
NMMA President and CEO Frank Hugelmeyer told Trade Only Today, "It’s a five-day showcase of the best in boating featuring the newest boats, products and technologies, offering attendees an unparalleled opportunity to experience the latest debuts and trends, connect with industry experts, and enjoy the boating lifestyle."
Attendees are advised to purchase digital tickets in advance, as there is no box office available onsite, according to CBS News.
Active military personnel and veterans can enjoy complimentary general admission on Sunday, in recognition of their service. The event will be held at several locations, including the Miami Beach Convention Center, Pride Park, Herald Plaza, Venetian Marina, Museum Park Marina, and IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami, and will run until Sunday.
