Local agencies in Missouri can apply for the State Transportation Innovation Council Incentive grant to improve work zone safety. The grant provides resources like training, signage, and equipment to help agencies with limited work zone supplies. The goal is to reduce risks for both workers and travelers on Missouri's roads, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

A new program will distribute five Work Zone Sign Packages to smaller agencies. Each package includes "Two Road Work Ahead Signs, Two One Lane Road Signs, Two Flagger Image Signs, Six A Frame Sign Stands, Two Stop Slow Paddles with Handle, 50 Trimline Channelizers." Previous training showed the need for these resources to create safe work zones, as stated by the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Missouri LTAP and the Safety Circuit Rider Program are offering Work Zone Sign Packages to improve safety for workers and drivers. The packages provide essential equipment and standardized signage to reduce accidents. Local agencies in need of work zone equipment are encouraged to apply, as only a few will be selected. Applications are now open, as reported by the Missouri Department of Transportation.
