Local detectives are searching for two men connected to the theft of a skid steer loader, a key piece of construction equipment, from Casey’s parking lot at 6418 Centennial Boulevard. The Nashville Police Department reported that the theft occurred in the pre-dawn hours of January 22. A rental customer left the equipment at the site, with plans for the owner to pick it up when the suspects took it.
According to the officials, the suspects are two white men. The younger-looking thief, spotted wearing a ball cap, was first seen at the scene driving a spray-painted SUV with noticeable body damage. He later returned in a dark pickup truck. The second suspect, an older man donning a winter hat with ear flaps, followed in the earlier-mentioned SUV. The sequence of events was pieced together from surveillance footage obtained from the vicinity of the crime.
The Nashville Police Department urges anyone identifying the men or their vehicles from the available surveillance photos to come forward. Individuals with any knowledge concerning the suspects' identities are requested to relay their information to Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
