A 19-year-old man from Nashville, identified as Kejuan Hodges, was arrested last night after a pursuit involving Robbery Operations detectives near Highland Trace Drive. Hodges, with six outstanding domestic-related warrants to his name, is currently being held on a $67,000 bond. Details emerged that in December, he reportedly punched a woman in the face. The Nashville Police Department states that additional incidents involving the same victim included throwing an ashtray, kicking in her door, causing scratches, and a verbal threat involving a firearm.
Further confrontations escalated with an event last Monday, when Hodges allegedly grabbed the same woman by her hair and punched her. The MNPD Aviation played an integral role in the arrest, monitoring the suspect's Hyundai Elantra from above after an attempted traffic stop prompted him to flee towards Revels Drive. It was reported by the department that Hodges tossed a pistol from the car's passenger side window, which was subsequently recovered post-arrest.
Once immobilized, Hodges attempted to escape on foot, discarding a backpack in the process that was later found to contain marijuana. Further search of the Hyundai revealed more marijuana and a digital scale. Hodges is now facing multiple charges following his capture, including felony and misdemeanor evading arrest, felony weapon possession, drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, also being booked on his prior outstanding warrants.
