The second arrest was of Sterling Pepe, born May 25, 1999, who was captured with help from the U.S. Marshals and the Violent Offender Warrant Squad. He was wanted for a homicide on January 7, 2025, at Elysian Fields Avenue and North Galvez Street.

Elijah Riggins and Sterling Pepe are facing serious charges. Riggins has been charged with aggravated battery by shooting and illegal use of weapons. Pepe has been charged with second-degree murder, along with Marvin Banks, who was arrested on January 11 for the same homicide, as per the New Orleans Police Department.
