From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., St. Augustine High School Cafeteria will be transformed into a hub for oral history as residents come together to recall and record their personal connections to Lincoln Beach. In the words of Cierra Chenier, a Black New Orleans historian and the event lead, "We are thrilled to bring the community together to honor the rich history of Lincoln Beach." According to a statement obtained by the City of New Orleans, Chenier further expressed, "This event will allow us to capture the stories and memories of those who lived, worked, and enjoyed Lincoln Beach, helping to preserve its legacy for future generations.
