
A double shooting occurred in Gwinnett County, resulting in a woman’s death and a man’s injury, according to local law enforcement. The Gwinnett County Police Department (GCPD) responded to the 1800 block of Ardsley Place in Norcross around 10 a.m. Sunday last week. Officers found a deceased woman and a man with gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, GCPD spokesperson, Cpl. Dustin Martin-Young, confirmed the incident appeared to be an isolated domestic situation and reassured the public that there was no ongoing threat to the community. He urged citizens to remain vigilant. Details on what led to the shooting have not been disclosed.
The identity of the female victim has not been released pending family notification. Police are investigating the incident and have been directed to an apartment following a disturbance call from a leasing office.
