The Oakland Police Department is undergoing investigations following a report of an officer's patrol vehicle being struck by gunfire in the 6000 block of Seminary Avenue. The incident unfolded yesterday just before 12:30 a.m., as the officer, engaged in a separate incident, was ambushed while seated in their marked car, as per the Oakland Police Department.

Fortunately, the gunfire did not result in any physical harm to the officer. Officers from OPD's Ceasefire Division and Special Resources Section (SRS) West, working with determination, apprehended a suspect the following afternoon.
