An off-duty Glendale Police officer's life came to a tragic end on Thursday morning following a motorcycle crash on Loop 303 in Peoria, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. The single-vehicle crash occurred near Vistancia Boulevard and Loop 303 around 6:40 a.m., stated Arizona DPS. The officer, who was not heading to work, was the sole person involved in the incident.
The name of the deceased officer is being withheld currently as his next of kin have not been notified. The Glendale Police Department, grappling with the sudden loss, requested patience and privacy during this difficult period. "We can indeed confirm that one of our ‘brothers in blue’ died this morning in a motorcycle accident along the 303 freeway," the department shared in a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix.
