Heading into Sunday, the forecast predicts showers and a possible thunderstorm with an expected high near 53 degrees. An east wind blowing at 5 to 10 mph may feature gusts as high as 20 mph. The certainty of precipitation is pegged at 100%, with new rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Sunday night, the likelihood of showers persists, mainly before midnight. The mostly cloudy skies will hover over a low around 47 degrees, while the northeast wind blows at around 5 mph, gusts might reach up to 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is high, standing at 70%. With the week progressing, the weather seems to take a turn for the better. Monday offers partly sunny skies and a high near 62, with a steady northeast wind around 5 mph.
As the week continues, New Orleans can look forward to clearer skies and warmer temperatures. Tuesday is sunny with a high near 69 degrees, Wednesday follows suit with a high near 71, and Thursdays and Fridays forecasts promise mostly sunny conditions, highs hovering around 70 and 67 respectively.
