Acklin is a Pittsburgh native, so his continued service to the city appears to be turning a new page rather than closing the book.

According to Audacy, his resignation news comes amid murmurs that the Penguins' owner, Fenway Sports Group, is considering selling a minority stake in the team. KDKA's Marty Griffin shared this tidbit, highlighting the shifting sands of the team’s ownership landscape.
