Registration is now open for the Quantum Summer School, an event focused on quantum science and technology. Participants can sign up until February 28, for the week-long event, which will be held from April 21 to April 25, at Purdue University's Purdue Quantum Science and Engineering Institute. The event is a partnership between Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Quantum Science Center.
Purdue University is leading investigations in the field. This year's Quantum Summer School includes a pre-conference on the first day, offering an introduction to the topics. "Experienced graduate students and postdocs will host chalk talks for attendees who would like additional context or introduction to the quantum materials, devices and algorithms that will be in discussed in detail during the summer school," according to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The event also features lectures, panel discussions, student poster sessions, and networking opportunities.
The Quantum Summer School is celebrating 150 years of Engineering at Purdue and the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. Additional events will be announced in the coming weeks. The school is open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as postdoctoral researchers, to learn about quantum computing, sensors, and algorithms. The event is supported by the Department of Energy's Office of Science and the Quantum Science Center.
