
Richmond Police reported a swift response to an armed robbery that occurred yesterday morning. According to the Richmond Police Department, a person walking down the street was held at gunpoint and forced to hand over their belongings. The assailant then fled to a nearby residence.
The police were able to locate a probable hideout for the suspect promptly. After a brief surveillance period, an individual was apprehended and found possessing the stolen property. The recovered items included not only the victim's belongings but also a firearm and brass knuckles, items found at the place where the suspect had sought refuge.
It was further revealed that the suspect, now in custody, is a convicted felon, prohibited from legally owning a firearm. "Wouldn’t you know it, the suspect still had the victim's property on him when he was arrested!" the Richmond Police Department stated. The suspect is facing charges of PC 211 - Armed robbery, among others, according to the officers' report.
