Residents and commuters in Norco and surrounding areas, prepare for a gamut of road disruptions today. According to St. Charles Parish, Sixth Street between Goodhope Street and St. Charles Street will be off-limits from 8 am until 4:30 pm for Public Works maintenance, although emergency vehicles and buses will retain passage.
Elsewhere, in Hahnville, Ampirical has informed of planned power outages and the consequent obstruction of several streets: Aquarius, Elm, Hickory, Maple, Oak, Pecan, Pine, and Sycamore Streets will see services halted from 8 am until 3 pm. While no road will be completely blocked, vehicles should expect partial blockages, as reported by the St. Charles Parish.
On to Destrehan, where road construction has taken a slice out of traffic flow near Ormond Center Court. The stretch from Rotolo's Pizza to Buddy's Frostop is swathed in detours, but vehicle traffic remains fluid through the redirected lanes.
And a heads-up to southbound drivers on Ormond Blvd., between Thomas Colby and Elmwood Drive: prepare for alternating lane closures, likely spilling into the upcoming Friday, February 14. Road work there is set to disrupt the week, pressing infrequent closures—weekend work might span whole days. Northbound lanes on Ormond, however, will breathe easy, unaffected by this construction chaos, as per the St. Charles Parish.
