San José law enforcement has taken a significant step in the fight against human trafficking, resulting in the arrest of a man accused of trafficking a minor. Dante Lee Price, a 23-year-old San José resident, was arrested earlier this month following the efforts of the San José Police Department's Human Trafficking Task Force, according to an announcement shared by the department.

The investigation began after a patrol call for service on January 31 led the Sexual Assault Investigations Unit to evidence suggesting the involvement of a minor in human trafficking. The case was then escalated to the Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF) for a comprehensive investigation. It was determined that Price was allegedly trafficking a 16-year-old for commercial sex activities. A warrant for his arrest was obtained based on the gathered evidence, as per the San José Police Department.

Dante Price was apprehended by the detectives from the HTTF and the Covert Response Unit (CRU) in San José on February 7, 2025. This arrest culminated in collaborative efforts involving various units within the police department, including the HTTF, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit, and CRU. The juvenile in question was rescued and provided the necessary resources.

The San José Police Department continues investigating the case and believes additional victims may exist. They are calling on the public to come forward with any relevant information.
