San José Police Department (SJPD) is investigating a tragic incident that unfolded on Valentine's Day. According to details released by SJPD, officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of Santana Row at approximately 7:14 PM following reports of a fight involving multiple individuals. Shortly after the initial call, it was relayed that someone had been stabbed in the altercation.

Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found a young male, only 15 years of age, who had sustained at least one stab wound. In the crucial moments that followed, law enforcement and emergency medical responders worked in tandem to administer life-saving efforts. Regardless of these attempts, the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

The assailants managed to evade the scene before the SJPD officers could apprehend them, and their identities are still unknown. In the ongoing investigation helmed by the homicide unit of the SJPD, detectives are piecing together the events and motives that led to this violence. "The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation," per the San José Police Department.
