
Following a detailed investigation, Chicago authorities have apprehended a second suspect in connection with a devastating double homicide that claimed the lives of two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, last year. James Allison, 20, from the 1000 block of W. 93rd St., Chicago, Illinois, has been formally charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Allison also faces charges for attempted first-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a person without a FOID card, according to a news release from the Chicago Police Department.
The fatal incident, which occurred in the 0-100 block of N. Wabash in Chicago's 1st District on January 26, 2024, also resulted in a 25-year-old female victim sustaining a graze wound. Allison's apprehension on Monday, in Crown Point, Indiana, was the culmination of efforts by the Chicago Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task Force. He was identified as an additional offender who participated in the shooting, swiftly adding to take him into custody and subsequently charge him with multiple felonies.
Today, February 5th, 2025, Allison faces a detention hearing at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California. The first suspect in the case had been previously charged and taken into custody.
