Sevierville residents and commuters should prepare for delays as the city upgrades its water line along Park Road. According to a social media advisory by the City of Sevierville, Tennessee Government, the Sevierville Water and Sewer Department will install a new water line beginning today, which aligns with the planned renovations for the City Park.
This construction effort will temporarily delay traffic by closing the southbound travel lane on Park Road from West Paine Street to City Park from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Motorists are advised to budget extra travel time or seek alternative routes during construction.
While the upgrades will improve the city's infrastructure in the long term, their short-term impact on day-to-day traffic could test the patience of those who frequent this stretch of road. Weather permitting, the completion date is Friday, March 7. However, as any local knows, project timelines are subject to the unpredictability of situations outside planners' control.
