Shorewood residents can now learn about police work firsthand. The Shorewood Police Department is offering a seven-week Citizens Academy, starting with Thursday evening classes. The program, announced on Monday, will teach the public about different aspects of law enforcement, as reported by the Village of Shorewood.
According to the Village of Shorewood, the curriculum is structured to provide knowledge through a blend of classes, discussions, and hands-on training exercises. Each session, residents will step into the shoes of local police officers, with graduation set for April 24.
Eager locals can register for the limited spaces available in the program and must commit to attending every Thursday evening session. For additional details or to secure your spot in the upcoming course, Shorewood's finest invite you to visit and sign up through the Village of Shorewood webpage.
