The California Highway Patrol has issued a Silver Alert for Gerado Polanco, an elderly man at risk who was last seen driving in Fremont, Alameda County. According to CHP Alerts, Polanco, 87, was last spotted on January 1 around 8:00 a.m. near Paseo Padre Parkway and Mission View Drive.

Polanco is described as 5'6" tall, weighing 165 pounds, with a bald head and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, the Fremont Police Department noted that his clothing was unknown. CHP has extended its Silver Alert across multiple counties, including Alameda, Santa Clara, San Francisco, Contra Costa, San Diego, and Ventura.
To help locate him, authorities have provided details of the vehicle he is believed to be driving: a blue 1979 Nissan Z with California license plate 958ZWP. The public is being urged to keep an eye out for this vehicle and immediately report any sightings to 911.
