Gwinnett County authorities are investigating a possible murder-suicide at a home on Westridge Drive in Snellville. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, police found two individuals dead, a man and a woman, in what appears to be a domestic-related incident. The Snellville Police Department has confirmed there is "no active concern" for the surrounding community.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting on Monday afternoon and discovered the bodies of a man and a woman, both believed to be in their 60s. The shooting occurred at a residence on the 2200 block of Westridge Drive. A family member told FOX 5 Atlanta the couple was in that age group, but officials have not yet released their identities.
Atlanta News First reported that the Snellville Police Department believes the shooter and victim were known to each other.
The investigation is ongoing, but no further information has been released at this time. The Snellville Police Department stated, "No additional information will be released."
