Residents of Snellville saw increased police activity on Saturday night following a carjacking involving two children. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, a thief stole a vehicle from the CVS near Rockdale Circle, unaware that two children were still inside.

The Snellville Police Department reported the vehicle was found abandoned nearby, and the children were safe. Despite efforts to track the suspect using a K-9 unit, they were unable to locate the thief. Police suspect the suspect may have fled in another vehicle. The suspect's identity remains unknown.

The Snellville Police are asking the community for help in the investigation, requesting any video footage from the area between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Anyone with information can contact Det. Manley at [email protected], WSBTV reports.
