Violence occurred in a Southeast Atlanta neighborhood just after midnightyesterday, resulting in a 44-year-old man being shot during a physical altercation. According to the Atlanta Police Department, the incident took place at 1807 Charleston Avenue SE, and officers arrived at around 12:08 AM to find the man with a gunshot wound to his buttocks. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Preliminary reports suggest the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute that escalated into violence.
The female involved in the dispute, a 35-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene without incident. Her identity has not been released. She was taken to the Fulton County Jail to await processing for her alleged role in the shooting.
The Atlanta Police Department has not released further information on the victim’s condition since his hospitalization. As the investigation continues, authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
