
This morning, a devastating fire claimed three lives, including a child, in a Kittanning duplex. As reported by WPXI, the blaze, which erupted before 4 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Grant Avenue, resulted in the deaths of two adults and a child, according to the Armstrong County coroner's office, with two other children under the age of 10 managing to escape the inferno.
While the flames have been reported as under control, the full extent of the injuries sustained by two firefighters who were injured during the response remains unknown, and the identity of the victims has not yet been released. Scott Kline, Chief of Kittanning Hose Co. No. 6, confirmed the fatality of the man, woman, and 3-year-old child in the fire, according to WPXI.
