A traffic collision on McCombs Boulevard in Northeast El Paso led to injuries for two individuals and caused a significant disruption yesterday, according to multiple reports. The roadway was temporarily closed to facilitate emergency response and investigation of the incident. KTSM reported that two people were hurt in the crash, which occurred Monday afternoon and shut down McCombs Boulevard for roughly an hour, as per a spokesperson for the El Paso Fire Department.
After the collision, all lanes on McCombs near US 54 were temporarily closed, creating traffic delays in the area. TxDOT provided updates on the situation, and lanes were reported to begin reopening around 5:20 p.m. According to KFOX-TV, officials expected the scene to fully clear by 6 p.m. However, at the time of their reporting, no information was available regarding the extent of the injuries.
