
Two men's lives were abruptly cut short when a verbal clash turned deadly in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood on Tuesday morning. According to ABC7 Chicago, the fatal incident occurred around 7:42 a.m. on the 200 block of East 121st Place, where a 35-year-old was engaged in an argument inside a residence. The discord escalated when a known male suspect produced a firearm and shot him in the head.
The second victim, a 42-year-old man, present in the residence during the altercation, also suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No other individuals were reported harmed, and the perpetrator fled the scene. Details on the suspect's identity or whereabouts were not immediately available, and an investigation by Area Two detectives is underway.
CBS News Chicago informs us that as of Tuesday morning, no arrests had been made in connection with the double homicide. The assailant remains at large, having left the crime scene in an unknown direction.
