Medford drivers should plan their routes for the end of the week due to lane closures. Starting on Tuesday at 7 am until 4 pm, Elm Street at Main Street will have lane closures for storm inlet replacement, which may cause traffic delays. The work is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements, according to the City of Medford.
On Wednesday, the westbound lane of Garfield Street, from Kenyon Street to Whitman Avenue, will be closed from 8 am to 5 pm for road surface repairs as part of the Safe Routes to School project. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic through alternate routes, potentially causing delays. Additionally, intermittent alternating lane closures will occur on Pierce Road, between Hillcrest Road and Fox Run Drive, between 8 am and 5 pm on Wednesday and on Thursday for utility work related to a new subdivision, as reported by the City of Medford.
Medford officials are asking residents and commuters to be patient as construction projects may cause traffic and parking disruptions. The timeline for these projects depends on weather and other factors. Drivers are advised to follow signs and consider alternate routes to avoid delays, as stated by the City of Medford.
