Nonprofits and community groups in Tennessee, get ready to boost your volunteer and youth engagement programs. Volunteer Tennessee just announced a new wave of mini-grant opportunities aimed at amplifying civic engagement and volunteerism across the Volunteer State. Available for grabs are funds from $10,000 to $120,000, intended for projects that will commence on July 1 and run through to June 30, 2026. But there's a catch – organizations need to match these grants by 50% to qualify, as reported by the Volunteer Tennessee.
For groups aiming to inspire civic engagement in young people, new funding is available to support programs that involve youth ages 5 to 24 in leadership and service activities. Priority is also given to initiatives that strengthen organizations’ ability to recruit, retain, and support volunteers effectively. However, as detailed by Volunteer Tennessee, the grant application deadline is set for March 3, at 3:00 p.m. CST.
"We are pleased to offer this funding opportunity to organizations that are addressing Tennessee’s most pressing needs," said Jim Snell, Volunteer Tennessee’s executive director, in a statement made by the Volunteer Tennessee.
