Stepping into a leadership role, Amber Munoz has officially been sworn in as Mayor ProTem for 2025, reflecting a commitment to serve the community with renewed vigor. In a luminous thread of generosity, two young citizens, Liam and Layton, were recognized for their heartfelt gestures. Liam was noted to have raised funds and personally spent $500 at Target to secure Christmas gifts for children in need, while Layton organized a donation drive to support PAWS Protecting Animals of White Settlement, providing food and supplies for animals in need.
Amidst the council meeting, the Mayor and City Council also took a moment to honor Detective Geovanny Ramirez of the White Settlement Police Department. Detective Ramirez had garnered the Flock Safety Solved Award at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference, an achievement underscoring the dedication at the law enforcement level in the city.
