For Wright County residents accustomed to paying their property taxes or conducting property searches online, there's a new system in town. As reported by Wright County Taxpayer Services, there's been a scrip flip on the county's website with the launch of a new website called Public Access – a replacement for the older applications that folks were using up till now.
The change is set to hopefully make the online experience smoother and richer for users. According to the same announcement, when county dwellers go to perform a property search, they'll find themselves clicking through to Public Access. Though it might raise an eyebrow or two, being prompted that you're about to leave the county website to enter the application is normal—just press the “Agree” tab to proceed. There's no need to worry, several other county links also redirect users to external apps.
What's not changing is the actual information users have come to expect. "Once in the application, the information will be identical to what the old app provided," reassures the message from Wright County Taxpayer Services. But while the core content remains unaltered, Public Access boasts a new aesthetic and promises additional functionality for those looking to do more advanced searches.
So, for anyone out there needing to quickly check a property's tax status or to simply pay their bills without having to physically haul themselves down to the county office, this upgrade seems set to try and streamline the process.
