Atlanta commuters should be aware that 12th Street NW will be closed from last Saturday to Friday next week. The closure will affect the stretch between West Peachtree Street NW and Spring Street NW for construction work.
The Atlanta Department of Transportation has set up detour routes for drivers. Southbound drivers on Spring Street NW will need to turn left on 10th Street NW and then left again onto West Peachtree Street NW. Northbound drivers on West Peachtree Street NW will need to turn left onto 13th Street NW and then left onto Spring Street NW.
Pedestrians will still be able to use the sidewalks on the north side of Armstead Place NW. Enforcement officers will be present to manage traffic flow and ensure pedestrian safety.
