
A 72-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in the Mark Twain Neighborhood of St. Louis, as reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The incident occurred yesterday around 8 p.m. at the intersection of North Kingshighway and Thekla.
The elderly victim was found by District 6 officers, with a gunshot wound in his lower back. According to the same report, the man was waiting at a red light when the car behind him started honking, shortly after, he heard gunshots and subsequently felt pain in his back.
Emergency medical services were swift to respond, transporting the injured man to a local hospital where he remains in critical, but stable condition. The investigation into the shooting is presently active, with police continuing their search for the perpetrator(s).
