An Antioch resident has been sentenced to nearly 12 years in state prison following a conviction for child sexual abuse and possession of child sexual abuse material. Casey Stuart Millikin, 52, received his sentence last Friday from the Honorable H. Glenn Kim in a Martinez courtroom, as reported by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office. Post-release, Millikin is required to register as a sex offender permanently.

The investigation that led to Millikin's conviction began in March 2020 after a laptop with images of child sexual abuse was surrendered to the Antioch Police. A search warrant later issued for Millikin's laptop revealed over 600 images categorized as child sexual abuse material. It was also disclosed by a minor that Millikin sexually abused her two times in 2015, using his position of trust to exploit a particularly vulnerable victim. Despite the arrest warrant being issued in April 2020, Millikin evaded custody until April 2023.

In November 2024, after a three-week trial, a jury found Millikin guilty of two counts of sexual abuse of a minor, one count of unlawful communications with a minor, and one count of aggravated possession of child sexual abuse material. According to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office, Deputy District Attorney Ashley Torres from the Sexual Assault Unit prosecuted the case. The Antioch Police Department spearheaded the investigation, with support from the Contra Costa County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
