The scammer, who goes by the name "Gigi Levi," is accused of bilking almost $10,000 from unsuspecting victims in a scheme related to Super Bowl festivities. According to Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, the scammer has affected multiple victims across the metro area, with some cases being reported in Arapahoe County.
The first reported incident occurred in December of 2023 when a Centennial couple paid "Gigi Levi," who claimed to be a lawyer for Live Nation, a sum of $6,800 for a package deal that promised Super Bowl tickets, airfare, and hotel accommodations. Despite receiving a gift basket supposedly from Live Nation, the couple later discovered that the deal was a sham. Upon their arrival at Centennial Airport, they were thrown into a loop by being informed that the plane had trouble landing due to bad weather. The couple was persuaded to purchase commercial tickets to Las Vegas and were promised a refund for the price difference, only to find upon arrival that no hotel booking or Super Bowl tickets were awaiting them.
The second incident unfolded similarly in December of 2024 when another couple was lured into a scam by the same woman after being introduced through a coworker. Adding insult to injury, the couple grew to trust "Gigi Levi" enough to invite her into their home. They transferred $2,700 to her for Super Bowl and concert tickets, only to find themselves victims of fraud. "Gigi Levi" is described as a black female, heavy-set, with black hair and brown eyes, and notable for the gap between her two front teeth.
If apprehended, the one being dubbed as "The Super Bowl Scammer" will face charges of fraud and felony theft.
