Individuals from across the community spectrum are encouraged to share their insights and set priorities for how their city evolves.
An online survey is currently open and will be available through early April, requiring roughly 10 minutes to complete. As the City's long range planning manager, John Chapman emphasizes the inclusivity of the process, stating, "The Comprehensive Plan belongs to everyone who calls Arlington home – whether you are a homeowner or renter, a student, or a business or property owner", reported City of Arlington. This survey allows the public to weigh in on current issues and vocalize their hopes for future developments in their city sectors.
Not to be left out, those preferring traditional methods can find paper copies at any Arlington Public Library branch as well as City Hall. Alongside the survey, residents are invited to engage in Comprehensive Plan workshops scheduled throughout the months of March and April. These assemblies are designed to garner comprehensive feedback from across all council districts.
Workshops, featuring the same content, are scheduled at various locations to maximize participation. These span two hours from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at venues that include George W. Hawkes Downtown Library and the Southwest Branch Library, among others.
