Residents of Athens-Clarke County can now access the 2025 edition of the "ACC from A to Z: A Guide to the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government and Community Services." The guide provides updated contact information for over 700 entries, covering government services and community organizations, as per the Athens-Clarke County release.
The guide is organized alphabetically and serves as a reference for locals seeking government-related information. It addresses common queries received by the Communication Department through phone, email, or social media. Electronic copies are available online, and printed versions can be obtained at select locations such as the Multimodal Transportation Center, the Courthouse, city publication racks, and the City Hall Communications Department, while supplies last.
The guide includes contact information for local, state, and federal elected officials, a demographic snapshot of the area, and details on community issues with corresponding contacts. It also includes a Commission district map, a guide to recyclable materials, and a TV schedule for ACTV Channel 180, including Mayor and Commission meetings. Additionally, there is a list of common government acronyms.
This year's guide features artwork by Athens-born artist Sam Watson, showcasing the City Hall dome. Watson continues the tradition of local artists contributing to the guide's cover art.
