As Atlantans head into Friday, they should expect areas of frost before 8am and a climb to a more moderate high near 65 degrees, with light winds transitioning from west to southwest. In the night, there's a slight chance 20 percent chance of showers after 1am.
The weekend brings in a mix of clouds and potential rainfall, with Saturday maintaining a 20 percent chance of showers into the afternoon and a high near 71 degrees. However, as Saturday night rolls in, the likelihood of showers increases tremendously, setting the stage for a mostly cloudy evening with a 70 percent chance of rain after 1am.
While Sunday continues the trend with a 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before the afternoon, the cloud cover persists with a high projected at 56 degrees. The start of the next week, though, ushers in a sunnier disposition, as Monday forecasts promise a sunny day with highs nearing 66 degrees. This pattern of clear skies and warmth stretches into Tuesday and Wednesday, with temperatures rising as high as 76 degrees by midweek.
