Tonight, the skies will clear up, resulting in a low around 48 degrees. The wind is expected to mellow out, coming in from the northwest at around 5 mph before becoming calm in the evening. Tuesday promises to bring abundant sunshine with a high nearing 77 degrees. The light south wind is projected to quickly turn west and to gradually intensify to 10 to 15 mph by morning.
As we move further into the week, the National Weather Service predicts more serene weather conditions for Atlanta. "Sunny, with a high near 73," reads the Wednesday forecast; the wind will maintain its presence, oscillating through the northwest at 5 to 10 mph, gusts reaching to potentially shake the trees as fiercely as 20 mph. The Wednesday night sky will stay clear with the mercury dropping to a cooler 45 degrees.
The rest of the week promises more agreeable conditions, with Thursday and Friday featuring clear skies and daytime highs of 72 and 79 respectively. The nights are expected to be mostly clear, with lows of 49 on Thursday and stepping up to 56 on Friday evening. However, by the weekend, clouds are forecasted to make a return, with "Mostly cloudy" skies on Saturday and a high near 80 degrees. Saturday night sees a slight chance of showers, a 20 percent likelihood, and a low around 60. Sunday echoes this chance for rain, increasing to 40 percent, as Atlanta looks to close out the week with a partly sunny day and a high near 80 degrees.
